IDM introduces the wherever, whenever internet connectivity concept in Lebanon

Beirut, October 2005 - Inconet Data Management sal (IDM), the Lebanese internet service provider offering internet access to individual and corporate businesses, announces availability of two new products under the broadband service, allowing subscribers to enjoy either the wireless connection, the Wireless Broadband service, or the fixed connection, known as the Soho Broadband service. Wireless and Soho broadband services provide a comprehensive solution for corporate organizations, companies, small offices or private users needing speed, reliability and efficiency.

The new Wireless broadband service exclusively introduced in Lebanon by IDM, is mainly designed to individuals and home users. It is a fast, efficient, and practical portable connection, bringing a real internet pleasure, mobility and easy access to the internet with no phone line or cable connection. As simple as that: no more phone bills just enjoy the Net! It currently covers Greater Beirut and surrounding areas and is being expanded day after day. Just like any radio system its reception can be degraded in certain areas such as basements, lifts, and underground car parks. The Wireless broadband steps to set up are unbelievably easy; the user just needs to enter the prepaid card serial to get connected. IDM Wireless broadband service is approved by the Ministry of Telecommunication in partnership with Pesco Telecom, a leading licensed data operator.

On the other hand, while many companies are finding high-bandwidth connections difficult to obtain or prohibitively expensive, IDM introduces the fixed Soho broadband connection, a new innovative package targeted for small offices and any corporation interested in high bandwidth performance over the internet.

The Soho high speed internet connection available in most locations in Lebanon enjoys the features of any fixed connection, i.e. no limitations as to territorial coverage or quality of reception.
